Glasby conquers Texoma

The expectations were very high for a late April tournament on Lake Texoma; especially when many of the anglers vetted the waters just weeks before in the state championships. Yet, Texoma was just as stingy as it was for many of the anglers. Keith Glasby was able to junk fish his way to four keepers and 12.56 lbs. to take 1st place honors. Derick Maschmeier was able to coax the male and female off the same bed for 8.68 lbs. and 2nd place. David Rush remained hot on Texoma and found three fish for 8.63 lbs. to finish out in 3rd place. Nine out of 24 anglers blanked as the rest of the field had two or less fish. Dan Phifer (Century Bass Club) remains on top in the Angler of the Year race as David Rush (Denton County Bass Club) moves to second. Denis Canuel (Century Bass Club) also moved into 3rd place with another strong finish at Texoma. Century Bass Club continues to dominate in points for the Club of the Year, while Red Oak Bass Club (2nd) and Denton County Bass Club (3rd) hold steady. The North East Region will remain in North Texas area for the fourth tournament of the year. Lake Ray Roberts (Jordan Park Ramp) will be held on Sunday May 17th. Sign up on Facebook or contact the regional director. There will be a Saturday May 16th Meeting at Jordan Ramp at 3:00 pm CST. The drawing of partners at tournament signups will start around 3:45 pm CST. https://www.facebook.com/NETXBASSNATION … [Continue reading]
