Beginning February 1st, B.A.S.S. will impose a new single lure rule for the Bassmaster Classic and Elite Series. The new rule does not apply to the Bassmaster Open, B.A.S.S. Federation Nation, College B.A.S.S. and other events.

About Cecil CarterMy name is Cecil Carter and I’m the Panhandle Regional Director for the Texas B.A.S.S Federation. I’ve been a resident of the panhandle my entire life, attending Amarillo public schools and graduating from West Texas A&M. I’ve held various positions in the Information Technology industry and currently work for Fiserv Insurance Solutions as a Sr. Programmer Analyst. I’m married to my beautiful wife Melissa and we provide food and shelter to Maggie, a very spoiled beagle who thinks she’s human.
Fishing and the outdoors has always been a passion of mine, and I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy many hours with my family perusing outdoor activities. When I’m not fishing with the Panhandle Hawg Hunters or the Panhandle Region Trail, I enjoy fishing trips with my wife and team tournaments with my father.
I’m proud to have the privileged to represent the Panhandle Region, and support angling as a sport and recreational activity.
