The team of Joseph Bruener and Jack Garner won the 2015 Texas B.A.S.S. Nation High School Championship held on Sam Rayburn Reservoir. Rising water and changing weather conditions didn’t stop the two Douglass High School Indians from taking a first place win with 22.6 pounds of bass. Their 22.6 pound sack of bass also included the big bass of the tournament at 7.63 pounds. This win qualifies them to compete, as Texas B.A.S.S. Nation State Team members, at the upcoming 2015 B.A.S.S. Nation Central Divisional being held on Ross Barnett Reservoir in Mississippi. In addition, this win qualified them to compete, and represent their High School in the 2015 Costa Bassmaster High School National Championship. The second place team of Spencer Lambert and Jeffery Tyler, from the West Monroe Rebel Bass Club, came to the scales with 14.14 pounds, which qualify the two West Monroe Rebel Bass Club anglers to compete and represent their High School in the 2015 Costa Bassmaster High School National Championship. The third place team of Hunter Muncrief and Landon McCary, from the West Sabine Bass Club, came to the scales with 12.65 pounds.
