All tournaments are on Sundays, and with the reduced schedule, the road to the BassMaster Classic gets shorter! Make plans to fish this schedule and get your opportunity to become the next B.A.S.S Divisional representative as a boater or co-angler.
- Must be active members of B.A.S.S, and Texas B.A.S.S. Nation.
- Championship Qualification – Automatic Qualification – enter and participate in all four (4) events or finish in top 60% of average field, and participate in minimum of (3) events. See rule 22 for clarification.
- You can join Region II Team Bass Club (club’s trail for points is the Region’s trail) for additional opportunities at State Top Six Championship.
- Pay-out at each tournament is 1 place for every five entries
- Sponsorship of additional big bass through Cen-Tex Truck and Trailer Repair, Nolanville, Texas
- Enter big bass pot and weigh in a 10lb+ bass, and win an additional $250
- If two anglers weigh in 10lb+ bass, the largest wins the additional $250

Katy Bassmasters has announced that they will be hosting a benefit tournament for the family of Mike Conaway on September 10, 2016 on Lake Conroe. Mike Conaway was a member of Katy Bassmasters and had passed away in a tragic boating accident during the BASS Nation Regional tournament on Lake Conroe in February. There will be raffles with great prizes and an auction.

Lake Ray Roberts is the Northeast Region’s 3rd stop in the 2016 season. This will be a combined tournament with the North Central Region and you can fish both regions for one entry fee. Please register or notify the Regional or Tournament Director by text, call, or email by Thursday April 7th by 11:59 pm CST to register for the Tournament as a Boater or Co-Angler (without a penalty of $10.00). We will have late sign ups and tournament forms collected during Sunday partner parings at Jordan State Park Ramp beginning 5:30 AM CST.
In order for anglers to receive their prize money they have to fill out a tournament form – per B.A.S.S, IRS, and State Regulations. Note, this is for insurance and tax purposes. The anticipation is around 70 anglers and a payout of more than $1,200 for first place and paying down to 14 places (1 in every 5). If you filled out a form from a previous tournament than you will not have to fill out another form. We’ll check the box on the tournaments you fished.
Remember, if you fish all six tournaments you will automatically qualify for the Regional Championship (most likely as a Co-Angler). Boaters for the championship will be the highest qualifying 50% of the regional championship field (field has to be an even amount of anglers). Best 4 of 6 format to determine boaters for championship. Angler of the Year is determined by fishing all six events.
Also, in order for us to promote the sport we need a few individuals to step up and take photos of the even. It would be nice to get the top 3 finishers and big fish pictures to help get sponsors for our events. In addition, NE region will need someone to take down weights as the regional director will be weighing in fish at the scales. Tournament Director Keith Glasby will be fishing Lake Hartwell in South Carolina at for an ABA Weekend Angler’s championship so he won’t be at Ray Roberts; let’s wish him well and hope he represents NE Texas well.
Official Ramp is Jordan State Park ($7.00 boat ramp fee). Safety Meeting at 6:00 AM. Dues and check in are at Jordan State Park main ramp at the lake Sunday morning at 5:30 AM CST. Take off at safe light estimated at 7:10 AM CST. Weigh in at 3:00 PM CST and based on the amount of boats there may be flights for take-off.
Finding lodging is tough with the Texas Motor Speedway Event and other fishing events scheduled throughout the month. There are several rooms available in Whitesboro about 20 miles north of Jordan Park Ramp off Hwy 377 & Hwy 82 for $60.00 per night for 2 occupants. Contact Victorian Inn 903-564-5662 or Whitsboro Inn 903-564-7464.
