Northeast Region – Martin Creek Results

The Northeast Region kicked off 2015 with the same luck as 2014 in terms of weather.  Twenty-two anglers braved out the elements to a very stingy Martin Creek on Sunday January 11, 2015.  For the third consecutive week water temperatures dropped into the low 60's (hot water side) and mid 40's (cold water side) as the hot water was not being discharged.  As a result fishing was extremely tough. Century's 2014 Angler of the Year George Bryan (the ole man) bested the field with 3 keepers (8.86 lbs.) from the back of the boat.  It only took 2 fish a piece for Dan Phifer (4.35 lbs.) and Randy Conover Jr. (4.12 lbs.) to take 2nd and 3rd place respectively.  It was a clean sweep for the top three places for Century Bass Club in the Club of the Year Standings, great job. Next tournament is at Brandy Branch (aka Perky Power Plant) on February 1st (3 weeks).  Sign ups are on Facebook, contacting the regional director, or showing up to the Saturday Meeting at the launch site from 3:00 pm CST.  The drawing of partners will immediately follow sign ups around 3:45 pm CST. At large memberships are invited to fish these tournaments and dues of $125.00 are due at sign ups.  For more information see the Northeast page or Facebook page. … [Continue reading]
