Royal Takes Boater Division; Shay Takes Co-Angler Division and Vidor is The Top Club at State Championship

Robert Royal with Vidor Bass Anglers wins the individual honors with a 2 day total of 33.31#.

Ed Shay with the Century Bass Club takes top spot in the co-angler division with a 2 day total of 21.37#.

Congratulations to Vidor Bass Anglers Association, the top club of the
Championship. Their combined 2 day total weight of 121.12# earned them champion club team bragging rights for 2020.

Top 5 co-anglers in front row and top 5 boaters in back from the 2020 Texas BASS Nation State Championship on Lake Amistad. These anglers will fish the 2021 state team. Congrats guys

Royal leads the Boater Division and Decker leads Co-anglers at 2020 State Championship

Boater Division

Robert Royal with Vidor Bass Anglers leads the boater field after day 1 with a 5 fish limit of 19.80#. A bag of solid fish but no kicker.

Robert Paxton with Denton County Bass Club is a close second with an 18.90# limit. Robert had a huge kicker fish, a 9.25# brute that holds big bass honors so far.

Third place, Bill Watts with Houston Bass Bandits had a limit of 5 with 16.70# and an 8.25# kicker to anchor his bag. That fish holds its own with second place big bass so far.

Fourth place, Chad Petrie with Century Bass Club with a 5 fish limit and 15,42#.

Fifth place, Brandon Simineaux with Vidor Bass Anglers also had a 5 fish limit for 13.09#.

Co-angler Division

On the co-angler side, Lewis Decker with Llano bass club had a 3 fish limit for a total weight of 11.60# and a kicker fish that went 6.79#.

Second place, Ed Shay with Century Bass Club had 3 fish for 10.01# and a 4.71# big fish.

Third place, Felix Apelt with the South Region Team had 3 fish for 9.79#

Fourth place, Frank Garcia with the South Region Team had 3 fish for 8.88#.

Fifth place, Odis Brice with Bass Masters of East Texas had 3 fish for 8.78#.
