Final Tournament – Choke Canyon
Everybody that fished this event was thinking the fish would be deep on
humps, ledges and creek channel swings. You know, your normal summertime
patterns. But the final conclusion was you had better be turning up mud
with the prop on your trolling motor. Majority of the anglers that
participated found fish in areas with grass using square bills,
bussbaits, frogs, etc. anything that ran shallow. Cory Leita found his
three fish limit around Hog Island totaling 9.73 pounds for First Place
and Kenneth Henry three fish limit captured Second Place with 9.71 and
Big Bass of 5 plus pounds.
