Saturday morning winds were calm on Lake Fork but the temperature was 38 degrees. Fourty mph winds the previous day and cool temps overnight gave the fish lock-jaw.

Matt Roberts and Brian Beeson with Tarrant Christian Bass Club take first place with 6.55 lbs and big bass of 2.14 lbs.

Randy Knight and Michael Curtsinger take second place and Stephen Farrar and Robert Brown take third place.

Gregg Badgett & Derris Wiman caught 3 fish, one of which was a 7 pounder, but had to release them because they fell in the slot limit.

The fifth qualifier will be May 28th at Lake Limestone.

TBTT Team Standings

The day started at Jackrabbit Grill where all seven teams gathered for breakfast. It was a chilly morning at 27 degrees and a light breeze. We were comparing how much ice was on boat covers and front decks. Some teams didn’t get their compartment lids open until later in the morning either with a little sun or a screwdriver breaking the ice bond or both!!

Gregg Badgett & Derris Wiman with the At-Large Team took first place at the third Texas Bassmaster Team Trail qualifier on Lake O’ the Pines. They brought 4 fish to the scales for a 15.93 lb total weight and first place. Congratulations!!

Brent Stafford and Tom Chandler with Nacogdoches Bass Club took second place and big bass with a three fish bag that went 10.21 lbs. Their kicker fish was seven pounds even.

Third place went to Thomas Ferro and Ricky Bishop with Seven Coves Bass Club. They had two solid fish that weighed 9.66 lbs.

The fourth qualifier event for 2022 will be on Lake Fork, April 9th at Lake Fork Resort.

The weatherman was right again today with morning temperature of 38 degrees, sustained 25 mph & gusts to 30 and a high of 52 degrees.

However, the weather didn’t deter Josh Seale and Jacob Zachary from San Angelo. Their 5 fish limit went 21.30 lbs with a 5.36 lb kicker. They earned $1000 for 1st place and the $100 big bass pot. Congratulations Josh & Jacob.

Second place went to the team of Matt Roberts & Brian Beeson who had 4 fish for 13.26 lbs and a big bass of 5.54 lbs.

Third place went to Colby Bryant and Wesley Baxley with a three fish stringer that weighed 9.38 lbs with a big fish of 4.01 lbs.

The next TBTT Qualifying tournament will be on Lake O’ The Pines March, 12, 2022 at Cedar Springs Ramp.
