2024 North Central Region Team Standings

3/16/24 Stillhouse Hollow @ Stillhouse Marina

22 teams of anglers were greeted with overcast conditions to begin the day at Stillhouse Lake. Those overcast skies quickly turned to rain. It never rained really hard, but raingear was needed all day long and gave us a break at weigh in.  The pattern for the top teams was fishing deeper grass with a variety of techniques. 

1st Place went to the team of Casey Garcia and Landon Bennett with 21.40 pounds, anchored with Big Bass of the tournament of 6.13 pounds.

2^nd place went to Randy Fleeman and Rob Paxton with 18.17 pounds.

3^rd place was David Blackstock and Blake Diehl with 18.14 pounds and a 5.60 kicker. 

4^th place went to the steady team of Pat Grimm and Jack Morse with 17.27 pounds. 

All but 6 teams weighed a 5 fish limit. All 100 fish weighed were released back into the lake. No dead fish were presented to the scales. All in all, a great day on the water.

3/16/24 Lake O’ The Pines @ Johnson Creek Park

The weather couldn’t have been better for the pre-spawn on Pines! Overcast, 62 degrees, 3-5 mph breeze and calm water. The take off was delayed a few minutes due to the overcast but they fanned out with some going north and some staying south. Almost all teams brought in a limit and one team hit the mother lode! It rained on the weigh-in but we took advantage of the pavilion and stayed dry for the most part.

Some fish were caught shallow and some were caught in 6-10 ft on jerk baits. Of the 17 teams registered in the tourney 16 of them had five fish limits and the seventeenth team had 4 fish. An outstanding day on the water for everyone!!

The winning team of Jimmy Burgess and Brian Porter topped the field with 29.26 lbs but that wasn’t the exciting part. Their kicker fish, caught by Jimmy, was a 10.33 lb monster! AND they had a second fish that was almost that big! WOW!! Check-it out.

Second place honors went to the team of Jordon Osborne and Derek Bartley with a five fish limit that weighed 27.27 lbs. A GREAT sack on any given lake but not enough today on Pines.

Third place went to the team of Zach Fogle and Chris Murray with a five fish limit that went 26.04 lbs and a 6.63 lb kicker. Another awesome sack!

2024 Northwest Region Team YTD Standings

3/9/24: Kennedy Recreation & Marina – OH Ivie

A little overcast and LOT of wind and cold. Steady 25 mph winds had the 38 degree ambient temp felling like 28. It was winter time for a morning in West Texas. And the front had the expected affect on the fishing.

Chris Cobos & Julian Muchaca weighed four fish for a total of 14.40 lbs with a 7.05 lb kicker. They were one of the first to weigh in but their sack held up to take first place and a $1300 pay day.

Cobos & Muchaca got a little nervous when Bauman & Bevly came to the scales with an 8.54 lb g-g-g-giant bass caught by Jordan Bauman! However their sack only had three fish and a total weight of 13.34 lbs. Good enough for second place and a check for $700.

Third place went to the team of Brandon Soliz & Joseph Dean with a four fish 10.11 lb bag. They also took home a check for $300.

The next tournament in the NW Region will be April 6, 2024 on Hubbard Creek at the Hwy 84 Bridge. See you there!!
